Extended Indoor/Outdoor Location of Cellular Handsets at Greenville, SC

This was a historic measurement campaign that Jet Zhu and a number of assisting students performed in Greenville, SC to test the effectiveness of E911 position location in an urban area using just received signal strength.  Sponsored by Polaris Wireless, the results and algorithms have served as a template for numerous signal strength localization techniques.

Hiba Murali Wins the ECE Faculty Award!

Congratulations to Hiba Murali, our long-time undergraduate researcher and highly-decorated ORS scholar!  She has won the 2018 ECE Faculty Award, which is given based on the following citation:

This award is given to the electrical or computer engineering student who, in the opinion of the ECE faculty, has done the most to improve the educational environment within ECE or Georgia Tech and has contributed significantly to both student welfare and student-faculty interactions. This award consists of a $250 check and a plaque.

Well done, Hiba!
