On Tuesday, Zachary Silva successfully presented and defended his MS thesis entitled, “Optically Transparent Antennas for Multi-Modal Sensing.” The thesis is a remarkable survey and synthesis of transparent RF electronic materials and design principles. Zach currently works for Sandia National Labs and is planning to continue in the PhD program. Congratulations, Zach!
Yang’s IEEE RFID 2019 Poster on Fine-Scale Localization

Qi Oral Presentation at IEEE RFID 2019
The oral presentation slides from Cheng Qi’s presentation, “Breaking the Range Limit of RFID Localization:Phase-based Positioning with Tunneling Tags” are now available. This presentation was delivered in April at the IEEE RFID 2019 conference in Phoenix, AZ. The accompanying paper won the best paper award at the conference.
