Here are some summary slides on the groups research into wireless power transfer and harvesting:
A statement of teaching philosophy from Prof. Durgin follows.
Gregory A. Koo, MS Thesis 5 April 2011
Greg Koo’s classic MS thesis on the use of retrodirective array phase modulator (RAPM) for microwave backscatter communications. Co-invented with Albert Lu, this method of RF signal transmission has been dubbed “Koo-Lu” modulation by our researchers.
Brian Degnan, Ella Rose, Gregory Durgin
IEEE Journal of Radio Frequency Identification
This work describes how the ultra-low-powered Simon cipher can be implemented with a simple hash. This is a powerful technique for implementing encryption on computational- and power-limited platforms such as RFID tags.
